Comparing the Samsung Galaxy M13 with newly launched Galaxy M04 smartphone.
Samsung on Friday launched the Samsung Galaxy M04 smartphone in India. The device comes with a 90 Hz screen and draws power from the MediaTek Helio P35 processor. This budget device features a 5,000 mAh battery and costs Rs 8,499 for the base model. It will be available on Amazon starting December 16, 2022.
However, Samsung already has another budget device in the same M-series within the same price range, which offers much better specifications. Let us see how the new Galaxy M04 fares against the Galaxy M13 smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy M04 is cheaper than the Galaxy M13. The new device starts at Rs 8,499 for the 4/64 GB base model, whereas the 4/64 GB model of the Galaxy M13 is available at Rs 9,699.
Coming to specifications comparison, both phones have different screens. Customers will be required to choose between a higher refresh rate or a higher resolution. The Galaxy M04 features an HD+ (720p) screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate, whereas the Galaxy M13 features a Full HD+ (1080p) screen with a normal 60 Hz refresh rate.
Both phones run on One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 and feature 15 W fast charging. However, in terms of battery capacity, processor, and camera, the M13 outclasses the new M04.

Samsung Galaxy M04 is powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio P35 processor, whereas the Galaxy M13 features the 8nm Exynos 850 processor. According to nanoreview, the Exynos chip is better than the Helio chipset in this case.
Samsung Galaxy M04 features a 13 MP + 2 MP rear camera setup, a 5 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery. In contrast, the Galaxy M13 comes with a 50 MP + 5 MP + 2MP rear camera setup, an 8 MP selfie camera, and a 6,000 mAh battery.
Based on the specifications sheet, the slightly expensive Galaxy M13 looks like a better deal than the newly launched Galaxy M04 smartphone.
