The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga from last season left a bitter taste in the mouths of a lot of Real Madrid supporters. It had looked like the Frenchman was destined to move to the Spanish capital, when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ran out. So much so that he was even applauded by the fans at Santiago Bernabeu, when the two teams met in the Champions League.
Yet, things took an unexpected turn as Mbappe ended up signing a bumper new contract with PSG and remained with the French champions.
Unsurprisingly, Real Madrid fans were left unhappy with the entire situation and did not want the club to be linked with Mbappe ever again. And yet, the rumours have never really gone away.
Mbappe has continued to perform at a very high level but his future at PSG is uncertain. And it is believed that a move to Real Madrid is not completely off the table. Los Blancos seem to have a clear stance on the matter though.
Real Madrid make clear Mbappe transfer decision
As reported by MARCA, Real Madrid do not want to contact PSG. In the event that the French champions express their desire to negotiate over a Mbappe transfer, Los Blancos could enter into negotiations. The Spanish giants do not rule out making a move for the superstar and anything can happen in the future.
It is safe to say that Mbappe is a fantastic player and could be a big addition to any club on the planet. But there is no doubt that making a move happen would be very complicated for Real Madrid, unless his contract ends up running out in the future.
Let’s see what the future holds and how things transpire. As things stand though, nothing can be ruled out and yet, nothing is imminent either.
